Floral Designer - South Store
Primary qualifications include excellent customer service skills, ability to work independently, problem solving, and basic
computer skills. Retail floral design experience is definitely preferred, but other design experience will be considered. Floral
designers must be able to stand on their feet for the majority of the day, occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, stay calm in stressful
situations, speak English fluently, and write English with good grammar and spelling.
Floral designers at Flowers by Valerie participate in all activities of a retail flower and gift business. You will make high quality
floral arrangements within budget, promptly answer calls, fully explain our range of services and products, guide customers to an appropriate gift,
input accurate order information, follow company policies, maintain a clean and attractive sales floor, receive inventory, and process flowers.
The part-time work schedule is somewhat flexible and could be compatible with another job. Our business is open seven days a week. Associates are expected to work a regular weekend rotation. Typical shifts are 8:30 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Due to the nature of the business,
it is sometimes necessary
to stay later. All associates are expected to work extended hours that can include overtime during major floral holiday periods
such as Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, and Christmas.

Delivery Driver - South Store
Primary qualifications include excellent customer service skills, ability to work independently, problem solving, map reading, and basic computer skills.
Primary duties include delivery and logging of orders, maintaining the delivery vehicle, and light store cleaning. You will be expected to complete all deliveries promptly and efficiently while obeying all traffic laws. Some days may require staying late to complete deliveries.
You must be able to drive in all kinds of weather. In the winter, you may have to walk over ice and snow. You will occasionally be required
to lift up to 50 pounds.
The work schedule is somewhat flexible. A candidate must be available to work a minimum of seven out of fourteen days on a rotating two week schedule that will include every other weekend.
A typical shift would be 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but can start earlier and end later depending on order volume. You must be available to work on all
major floral holidays including Valentine's Day and Mother's Day including up to 40 hours the week of the holiday.
Pay begins at $8.00 per hour with performance raises available upon completion of the ninety day probationary period.

Holiday Driver - South Store
At Valentine's Day and Mother's Day we utilize independent contractors to help us with the high volume of deliveries.
As an independent contractor, you would drive your vehicle and be paid $6.00 per successful delivery. We provide maps and vase holders for
your vehicle. Drivers can expect to earn between $100-$250 per day, depending on how quickly he/she can complete the deliveries. No
training is required, but we do offer a brief orientation on your first day in order to familiarize you with the process. In order to
qualify, you will need a reliable vehicle, a valid driver's license, and insurance.
